Yes And Video recently had the pleasure of working with Retail Voodoo on creating videos for their website.  They specialize in customer experience branding for small businesses, emerging boutiques, challenger brands and the big daddies of the industry.  With hard work and magic, Retail Voodoo gets to the” heart and essence of retail brands”.  With 25 years in business, Retail Voodoo is, to use their words, “Shaping magical customer experiences at retail by design“.

It was a gift to interact with the brilliant mind of president David Lemley in crafting these videos for Retail Voodoo.  They strongly believe in storytelling and so do we.  Yes And Video would love to tell your story

2012 Summer Games In London

Medal Alerts App

Yes And Video was proud to be involved with the marketing and launch of the Medal Alerts App, now available at the App Store.

Medal Alerts is a FREE universal iOS app that alerts you via custom push notification for ALL final podium events during the 2012 Summer Games in London. You download the app, subscribe to your favorite events and/or countries, and Medal Alerts pushes results to you the moment gold (or silver, or bronze) is awarded for your favorite country or sport.  This is very helpful to those who can’t be there to watch all the events live, but want to be notified as soon as medals happen.

I know that I, like many others, hold down a busy schedule and would love to be notified when an American finishes in the Gold, Sliver or Bronze.  The best part is that it works seamlessly with your Facebook account if you upgrade to Sliver status on the app.  This will let all your Facebook friends share in the glory of the games with you as you root on your countrymen in the greatest competition in the world this summer in London 2012.  Check out the videos Yes And Video made for the release of this cool and exciting Medal Alerts App below.

360 Degrees Of Cool Video!

The Dot by Kogeto

Yes And Video took the Dot out for a test drive, on a bicycle. The Dot is a 360 degree camera that attaches to your i-Phone and allows you to record in full 360 degrees.  So no matter where you are, you can capture all the action that is going on around you.  The Looker app from Kogeto is free to download from the app store and the camera itself, which is a lightweight attachment that does not require batteries or external power, is only $49.  This is a pretty cool gadget that turns video from being passive to interactive.  The watcher can take their mouse and drag it across the video to move the viewing angle of the recorded video to different perspectives.  Check out the test ride bellow.

Go Pro Wi-Fi BacPac remote and viewfinder

Go Pro Wi-Fi BacPac

Yes And Video visited the GoPro booth at the NAB (National Association of  Broadcasters) Show in Las Vegas 2012.  Go Pro was showing off the new Wi-Fi BacPac remote and viewfinder coming this summer for $99.  Basically, the Wi-Fi BacPac is a small module that attaches to the back of any GoPro camera and gives you remote control of the device via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.  You can connect one camera or dozens as seen in the video below.  The included remote lets you start and stop recording on all the cameras at once, as well as tweak settings and modes.

The BacPac will also act as a viewfinder for your GoPro cameras from your smartphone or tablet. The phone and camera connect via an ad-hoc Wi-Fi network, so you can see exactly what the camera sees as you control settings and recording.  The BacPac works with the GoPro Hero and Hero 2

Spintec Rain Lens

Yes And Video recently traveled to the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show in Las Vegas 2012.  This is the Super Bowl for all things related to film and video production.  We stumbled across an amazing invention by Spintec.  It’s a rain deflector lens that allows you to shoot in the harshest weather conditions without compromising your visual quality.  This device won Spintec a Black Diamond Award in 2011.  Already used in productions like “The Deadliest Catch”, this device is useful in cities like my hometown of Seattle where the weather has a mind of it’s own.  No longer will you have to shut down production and wait for the sun to rear it’s head when you throw this lens into the mix.
